Areas of professional focus at CDE

  • Natural resource management and its effects on sustainable regional development
  • Governance of socioecological systems in Southeast Asia, East Africa, Horn of Africa, and Central Asia
  • Spatial analysis and modelling approaches for the analysis of global change processes at different scales

Field experience

15 years of field experience namely in Southeast Asia (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand), Central Asia (Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan) and Africa (Ethiopia, and Kenya). Work experience in other CDE core regions including Switzerland, South America, and South Asia.
